Draw in Harare brings smiles to Kenyans
September 7, 2008
Zimbabwe and Guinea registered a barren draw in Harare today, giving Kenyan fans all the reasons to smile. With one match left for all the teams in the last round of matches in all the groups, Kenya is topping the group with 10 points followed by Guinea who are on 7 points. The winner of each group qualifies automatically for the second a last round while the 8 best placed runners-up join them.
The result was disastrous for Zimbabwe who now have virtually crushed out of the world cup qualifiers. The result was very welcome for Kenya who have an option of beating Guinea in Conakry to top the group with 13 points, or become one of the best runners up if they lose to Guinea.
Now Kimanzi has taken Kenya to the biggest stage.
